Maps are not as large (in size). There is a large map and there is a small map. The amount of the map is determined by large-small scale used. ?? Scale map ad / comparison of the distance between two points on the map to the actual distance on the surface of the earth (ground).
Based on the map scale can be classified into four types, namely:
1.Peta cadastral / technique is a map that has a scale between 1: 100 to 1: 5,000. This map is used to describe a soil map or a map of the land certificate, therefore there are many in the State Department, the Department of Agrarian (National Land Agency).
2.Peta is a large-scale map has a scale of 1: 5,000 to 1: 250,000. Large-scale map is used to describe a relatively narrow area, such as a map village, sub-district map.
3.Peta medium scale is a map that has a scale between 1: 250,000 and 1:500.000. Map scale is being used to describe a rather broad area, such as a map of Central Java province, Maluku province map.
4.Peta is a small-scale map has a scale of 1: 500,000 to 1: 1,000,000 or more. Small scale map is used to describe a relatively wide area, such as state maps, continent and even the world.
